Dominant

Just a glimpse of the dominant female blackbird partaking of a late lard and seed breakfast on the highly popular feeding platform.

Beautiful Images. I miss blackbirds. Recently on holiday in the UK, their twilight song brought tears to my eyes.

These are beautifully composed photos. The second in particular has both movement and tranquility; the background branches circling around the bird, the bird emphasised by the lighter background with its trace of colour, the base of the feeder so solid beneath the lightness of the bird and the slender twigs. The two photos work so well together, also — I know blackbirds well ( I think you already know how special they are to me), and I can almost see the movement between the two moments.
